Wall Street risk discipline, applied to real estate AI.

DeCyph AI was founded in 2025 by two Wall Street veterans who spent decades pricing risk at Goldman Sachs, BNP Paribas, and Bank of America — and who now invest in commercial real estate themselves. We build AI that underwrites the way institutional investors do.

The team

Founders who have done the work they now automate.

Gagan Sehgal

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

15+ years running trading businesses across global markets, now leading DeCyph’s product strategy and go-to-market.

Gagan spent over 15 years in global markets across FX options, volatility, and cross-asset risk, including senior trading leadership roles at BNP Paribas, Goldman Sachs, and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Most recently he was a Managing Director at BNP Paribas, running linear and non-linear FX trading for North America and serving on the Global Markets Trading Executive Committee.

As co-founder of Turning Point Equity, he has conducted due diligence on hundreds of small business and commercial real estate opportunities and invested in roughly $15M of assets — experience that directly shapes how DeCyph approaches underwriting, market analysis, and portfolio management.

At DeCyph, Gagan owns product positioning, customer acquisition, and channel partnerships, and designs the agentic workflow patterns, validation layers, and evaluation frameworks that keep AI-generated analyses commercially useful, auditable, and aligned with real investment decisions.

Piyush Sachdeva

Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer

10+ years in quantitative finance and risk at Goldman Sachs, now building DeCyph’s agentic AI platform end to end.

Piyush spent over a decade in financial services across equity, credit, and rates products, including seven years as a Vice President in Risk Strats at Goldman Sachs in New York and London.

He combines that quantitative rigor with hands-on AI engineering: at DeCyph he architected the core agentic system — LLM agents with sandboxed code execution, tool use, and retrieval-augmented generation over deal documents — along with the extraction pipeline that parses complex Excel and PDF financials into standardized outputs.

Piyush owns the platform end to end, from the Python backend and AI agent infrastructure to the web application, with continuous evaluation built in.

Highlights

  • Vice President, Risk Strats (Quant) at Goldman Sachs — market and counterparty risk models
  • Architect of DeCyph’s LLM agentic platform, extraction pipeline, and MCP assistant
  • MS in Computational Finance, Carnegie Mellon University; B.Tech, IIT Roorkee

How we work

What makes DeCyph different.

Institutional rigor

We spent our careers managing risk where mistakes cost millions. DeCyph applies the same discipline to every underwriting output: auditable, validated, and grounded in your actual deal documents.

Built by operators

We underwrite and invest in commercial real estate ourselves. The platform automates the workflows we personally needed.

AI you can trust

Agentic AI with sandboxed analysis, business validation layers, and continuous evaluation — so the numbers in your investment memo hold up in front of an investment committee.
